· Follow directions given by Social Supports Manager and other North Light staff.
· Bullying, harassment, discrimination, and threatening, aggressive or violent behavior or language is not permitted and may lead to dismissal.
· If you observe conflict between members of the public and/or volunteers, please report it to staff. Do NOT try to resolve or defuse the situation yourself.
· Report all accidents, injuries, or incidents immediately to North Light staff.
· Smoking, vaping, alcohol, drugs, and weapons are not allowed on North Light property. If you suspect that a member of the public or fellow volunteer is intoxicated or possesses prohibited items, please notify the Social Supports Manager or other staff. Do not personally intervene.
· Volunteers must uphold strict confidentiality. Any client information or sensitive organizational matters must not be disclosed.
· Promoting or soliciting your own business enterprise, political agenda or religious beliefs while volunteering with us is not permitted.
· If sick, do not volunteer. When possible, please let the volunteer coordinator know 24 hours prior if you cannot work a shift.

Additional Requirements for Food Pantry Volunteers:
· Do not accept any tips or gifts from pantry participants. We do not want to create an atmosphere where our visitors feel obligated to reward NLCC staff or volunteers for their assistance.
· Follow all posted food safety rules.
· Dress appropriately (closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required; in layers when it’s cold; in clothes that can get dirty).
Volunteers who fail to follow these guidelines may be asked to leave and not return.
